I came across the sweet sweet song the other morning. I was giving my three little men breakfast as it came on and it brought tears to my eyes. There are so many distractions..so many other interesting things out there..so many subjects of study... so many things I'd like to discover and pursue and even so many ministries that I would love to be apart of. But right now God has given me three treasures. He has entrusted me with three little boys who will one day be men. I want to write God's love, His grace and His infinite triumph over all evil through Jesus on their precious hearts. It starts now, each little mundane moment and each joyful moment and each frustrating and tearful moment that I have with them. God, give me grace to not be so distracted by so many other things. Help me to embrace this season of training and loving my children. Help us to be focused each day, not on ourselves but on your Glory. Please give me grace to see that if I were a song writer, they truly would be the best song I could ever write.
