Quote from Dostoyevsky

“I believe like a child that suffering will be healed and made up for, that all the humiliating absurdity of human contradictions will vanish like a pitiful mirage, like the despicable fabrication of the impotent and infinitely small Euclidean mind of man, that in the world's finale, at the moment of eternal harmony, something so precious will come to pass that it will suffice for all hearts, for the comforting of all resentments, for the atonement of all the crimes of humanity, for all the blood that they've shed; that it will make it not only possible to forgive but to justify all that has happened.” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."

My One Year Old!!

Dear Declan,

You are an amazing picture of God's grace and love towards us. We feel so honored and blessed to have you in our care and be your parents. You shine with your constant smiles and sweet and tender heart. You are so content and trusting and it is a breath of fresh air to your Momma and Daddy! May you continue to grow and develop into the person God created you to be. You are so precious and loved. We pray that God would create a heart in you that is one that fears and loves Him all of your days.

May God bless you and keep you. May His face shine on you. And May He give you peace.

Dreaming in BLUE!!

We found out that our third baby is another BOY!!! We are so honored and excited to have three boys! I always love seeing a glimpse of the baby on the ultrasound. It is so amazing to see. Everything looks healthy and we are so very thankful to God for that. I am holding on to the fact that God will and promises to give daily grace to raise these three children.

Here is a verse shared in a portion of a letter from my Grandma Stewart that I love remembering and reading:

"I want to share with you what I have learned about my responsibility to teach our children about God's love for them, as well as His requirements of them. Proverbs 14:26 says,

"He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, for his children it will be a refuge."

Notice the "it" and you will see it relates back to the "secure fortress" which belongs to the one who fears the Lord! It is a refuge for the children. I can say this was true in my life. I know my father knew the Lord and that he prayed for me..."

I pray Chad and I will always fear God and will continue to learn what that looks like all of our lives. It is comforting to know He promises to keep us fearing Him forever.
