May 1st I had my first real Doctor appointment. The best part was when we got to check on the baby's heart beat! It was so amazing and relieving to hear it once more. I was so happy that Chad came with me and was there to hear it to! I have two heart beats!
Chad and I can not wait to see my parents and sisters and little brother next week in Boston! I have not seen my family since I have been pregnant and am so anxious to see them:)
Isaiah 51 "...look to the rock from which you were hewn.."
chap. 53 " Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows...He was wounded for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His stripes we are healed."
Chad and I have been reminded to pray together for our little growing baby. Last night Chad prayed before I fell asleep and I just am so comforted by what a mighty God we have.

Easter Sunday
Oh to see the dawn
Of the darkest day :
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten then
Nailed to a cross of wood.
Refrain:
This the power of the cross
Christ became sin for us.
Took the blame, bore the wrath--
We stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh to see the pain
Written on Your face
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Every bitter thought,
Every evil deed
Crowning your bloodstained brow.
Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death,
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.
Final Refrain:
This, the power of the cross:
Son of God--slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

A verse shared

"He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom and our righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Therefore, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord."
1Corinthians 1:30-31 (from Chad to Julie)
I love it when Chad writes down a verse for me or sends me the reference to look up. This Friday is Good Friday and Sunday is Easter. I am so excited because each year God graciously shows me of His great love for His children in a stronger way. We have nothing in ourselves to boast in, we only have Christ!

memories:when we were dating
Our Wedding Day
Mr. & Mrs. Chad McKinnon

I sat on my bed the morning of the wedding. It was June 30th, 2007. Oh how God had taught me so much in the past 2 years that I had met Chad. He had saved me and changed my heart and now I could not believe that I had met a man who loved God and wanted to know Him and worship Him with me by his side all the days of his life. Chad lead in our relationship a mindset of treasuring God above anything else in the world, at the time of dating the hardest was treasuring God above each other. That is why we chose to engrave Habakkuk 3:17-19 on our wedding bands as a reminder that whatever in this life is taken away by God's grace we desire to still praise Him. We want God is be lifted up and glorified in our home. We believe by God's grace that God is the greatest good and greatest treasure of all.We are sosinful but we hope in and know that we can stand before God through the merit of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our righteousness and life.

"In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song;
this cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm "
this cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm "

"Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart"
